Company history

1987
Acquisition of hamos by Dr. Rainer Köhnlechner. Move of the company to Penzberg. The product range is reviewed and extended. The new hamos HS type of metal separator is introduced. 

1993
Successful installation of the first hamos KWS electrostatic separators at customers. 

1997
Official opening of the newly acquired production hall and of the newly built office building. Transfer of the entire production and administrative facilities to the new plant. 
10 years of hamos GmbH in Penzberg.
hamos supplies the first large hamos ERP plant for recycling of electronic waste.

1998
First hamos EKS electrostatic plastics separator delivered and installed succesfully at a customer. 

2003
The hamos EKS-PET electrostatic separator enables separation of PVC from PET.

2004
Separation of plastics such as ABS/PS from electronic equipment waste processing with the hamos EKS electrostatic plastics separator 

2007
20 years anniversary of hamos GmbH. 

2008
More than 320 electrostatic separators are in use at customers worldwide, for which around 100 hamos EKS electrostatic plastics separators. The first hamos EMS electrostatic minerals separators have been delivered and successfully put into operation.
New Internet presence of hamos GmbH.

2009
The two new developments, hamos KRS, a recycling line for plastics from electronic scrap that produces pure ABS, PS and PP fractions, as well as hamos RSS, a separator for separation of elastomers from plastics, complete the product range. Customers have successfully put both lines into operation. The 350th electrostatic separator is delivered to a customer.
